Overview

KIPP North Carolina Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal for KIPP Pride High School. This role involves fostering a positive school culture, driving academic excellence, and supporting the growth of both teachers and students in a college-preparatory environment. Assistant Principals will engage in mentoring, instructional leadership, and community-building to ensure effective learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and coach teachers, providing rigorous feedback and support.
  • Plan and execute professional development days.
  • Document observations and feedback to track teacher growth.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
  • Reinforce school-wide behavior plans and address culture issues.
  • Monitor student achievement and target interventions based on data.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant content area.
  • At least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience.
  • 1 year of experience managing or coaching K-12 teachers.
  • Active North Carolina teaching license or reciprocity eligibility.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching teachers.
