Overview

KIPP North Carolina is seeking an Assistant Principal for KIPP Pride High School, who will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive school culture and driving academic excellence. The position requires strong leadership skills to support teachers, manage curriculum development, and enhance student learning experiences, all while embodying the school's values and mission.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and coach teachers with rigorous feedback and support
  • Plan and execute professional development days
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
  • Implement and reinforce the school's behavior plan
  • Develop high-quality, standards-based curricula
  • Monitor student achievement using data and assessments
  • Conduct mid-year and end-of-year performance reviews for teachers

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant content area
  • At least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience
  • 1 year of experience managing or coaching K-12 teachers
  • Active North Carolina teaching license or eligibility for reciprocity
  • Commitment to improving the lives of marginalized students
  • Demonstrated success in teacher coaching and development
  • Pass Criminal Background Check
