KIPP North Carolina is searching for an Assistant Principal for the 2026 - 2027 academic year at KIPP Pride High School in Rich Square, North Carolina. This role is crucial in creating a positive school culture, providing instructional leadership, and advocating for both teachers and students. Assistant Principals will be responsible for developing curriculum, coaching teachers, and ensuring rigorous educational experiences for students while being a part of a supportive community focused on educational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and observe teachers, providing feedback to improve their instructional practices
  • Support teachers in classroom management and lesson planning
  • Plan and execute professional development days
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
  • Drive results by setting measurable student performance goals
  • Continuously monitor student achievement and interventions
  • Document observations and feedback to track teacher growth
  • Assist in implementing behavior plans for students

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant content area
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in K-12
  • At least 1 year of experience managing or coaching K-12 teachers
  • Active North Carolina teaching license or ability to seek reciprocity
  • Criminal background check clearance
  • Zest, professionalism, and sense of humor
