Overview

The 1st Grade Classroom Teacher at Namaste Charter School is a dynamic instructor focused on fostering student curiosity, growth, and achievement. This role requires collaboration with colleagues and a commitment to a growth mindset while adapting instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Key responsibilities

  • Adapt instruction in the moment to meet student needs
  • Create and adapt unit plans using curricular resources such as Amplify CKLA, i-Ready, and Fundations
  • Implement accommodations and modifications for students
  • Co-plan, co-instruct, and co-assess with diverse learner teachers and other staff
  • Promote student learning using various engagement techniques
  • Unpack Common Core Standards for instructional planning
  • Use data and assessment to drive instruction
  • Manage student behavior using school-wide systems
  • Plan and lead targeted small group instruction
  • Engage with families as partners in their child's education
