Role Overview
As an Enterprise Services Engineer (ESE) at Tanium, you will serve as a hands-on expert for both remote and on-site engagements. Working closely with Solution Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and Sales Account Managers, you will help customers achieve operational, risk, compliance, asset, and security-focused outcomes by deploying and maintaining the Tanium platform and its modules.
This role primarily supports federal government customers, with a Canberra base, while offering remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Operationalize, administer, and maintain the Tanium platform to resolve complex technical issues independently or collaboratively.
Identify opportunities to increase customer value from the Tanium platform.
Address customer needs effectively with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Resolve customer support cases and conduct regular health checks on assigned accounts.
Track and document activities, after-action reports, root cause analyses, and daily status reports.
Maintain best practice documentation and Playbook entries.
Collaborate with SEs and CSMs to improve operational status within key accounts.
Provide technical guidance to customer IT staff.
Qualifications & Experience
Security Clearance: NV1 or higher
Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience
Experience:
5+ years in IT or Consulting
5+ years in Systems Administration/Engineering
Hands-on Tanium experience is a strong plus
Experience with federal government agencies is advantageous
Technical Knowledge:
Endpoint Security, Systems Management, Incident Response
Systems Administration, Software Engineering
Utility Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex problems and solutions clearly
